Chopper EGTBA part

I first went to Japan in 1999, I got to meet Chopper for the first time. I’d been a big fan of his skating since I saw his tricks in the 1996 FESN video by Takahiro Morita. I always looked for photos of him in Ollie Magazine too whenever I saw copies of that. When I finally met him for the first time it was at Spotaka, the local Osaka shop. He was so nice and courteous to a Northern English skateboarder with a weird little British company. Every time I seemed to go to Japan after that I would meet Chopper, either coincidentally at a trade show, or I’d call him and go skateboarding with him. Our Japanese distributor at the time were the ones who connected us and got him to officially ride for Heroin. He said he liked the first video we had made “Good Shit” and so I was stoked to have him as part of the squad. He was actually the first Pro for Heroin Skateboards. When it came to filming his part for EGTBA, it’s a mash up of footage that he’d had around for a while that hadn’t been used for anything, and some filming trips to the UK where he would go out with Chris Massey and Alan Glass. I’ve always loved his unique style and creativity in skateboarding. I feel like I just wanted his style of mashing around the streets of Osaka to be brought over to our dirty British pavements. Alan Glass hit the nail on the head to use this Crass song, and I think it goes perfectly with Choppers skating. I heard this song the other day and it reminded me of how much I liked this part and made me think I should upload it to our Vimeo channel.

Married With Children

I really really enjoyed this latest full length video out of Texas. Our man in Houston, Aaron Wilson has a full part and sent me a link a few days ago. I rarely have the time to sit down and watch a full video these days, but I’m really glad I did with this one. Definitely give it a look, hats off to everyone involved in this one, you guys killed it.

Tom Day Megamix by Fat Jim

Fat Jim has been filming the skateboarding antics of Tom Day for nearly ten years now, he went through all this footage and put this Tom Day Mega mix together.  Expect unusual spots, lots of cobblestones and some unpredictable skateboarding from Lincolnshires finest and our newest Pro.

Fall 2018 Catalog.

Let me tell you something. I've never been prouder of this little company.

20 years deep, and I've gotten to sponsor my favorite skateboarders and work with good friends and people I admire greatly on art. Sure there's been heartache along the way, people have quit,  I've had to kick people off, there's been a few arguments here and there, but we're still here.

Blowing your own horn is not really something that's done where I'm from. People are very very quick to tell you that it's not going to work, who's gonna buy that? and all the rest. I didn't listen to any of them. I did it my own way. 20 years later Heroin is still here, last season we just dropped an official Texas Chainsaw collaboration, this season we turned Tom Day Pro. Awesome human being Craig Questions Scott did a really great series of boards for us. I got OG Heroin conspirators to do boards (Simon True and French) as well as Hirotton and Enemy. Talking of OG Heroin, we put out a never seen before Chris Pulman Alumni board that was sketched up in 2005.

I love where we're at right now. Thank you for getting us here.

TOM DAY IS PRO!!!

Tom Day personifies what riding for Heroin is about, doing your own thing and not caring what anyone else thinks, in Toms case its finding or making grimy spots in Northern England. Who doesn't love that?

Its been quite a journey for Tom and Heroin. He's been on so many trips and put out loads of ads and great video parts for us. It makes complete sense that he's our newest pro.

Congratulations Tom!
